01What Parq is

Parq Vancouver is at 39 Smithe Street, beside BC Place. Parq describes its casino as downtown Vancouver's only casino. The complex also has two Marriott hotels: the JW Marriott Parq Vancouver and The DOUGLAS, an Autograph Collection Hotel, at 45 Smithe Street.

According to Paragon Gaming, the complex has eight restaurant and lounge concepts, a rooftop park, Spa by JW and more than 60,000 sq ft of event space. Paragon Gaming developed Parq with Dundee Corporation and PBC Group. We could not confirm who owns or operates the casino now.

02Getting in: 19+ and photo ID

Parq states that its casino is for guests 19 and older. That matches the provincial rule for all BCLC facilities.

Since June 26, 2023, every visitor to a BC casino has to show government-issued photo ID at the door, whatever their age. Security scans it and checks it against the list of people barred from gambling facilities, which includes people enrolled in Game Break. Bring the original document. Photos or copies are not accepted. The accepted list is on casinosbc.com.

Parq's FAQ has a dress code question, but we could not see the answer. Check there before you go.

03Hours

We could not find casino floor hours on Parq's own site, so we are not printing any. Check parqcasino.com or ask Guest Services. Holiday hours are not published either.

The official table games page does say "Open daily from 7PM". That note appears in the section on roulette and the touch bet terminals. The page does not make clear which games it covers, and it gives no general table hours.

04Slots and table games

Parq's slots page says "hundreds" of machines without giving a number. Its table games page says "two floors of table games", again without a count. Published counts elsewhere vary, so we leave them out.

Games listed on the official page:

  • Blackjack, roulette (including double-zero), baccarat and craps
  • Three Card Poker, Four Card Poker, Ultimate Texas Hold'em and Face Up Pai Gow
  • Koi high-limit baccarat and blackjack in private salons
  • A poker room listing No Limit Texas Hold'em and Pot Limit Omaha
  • Stadium Gaming: 30 touch bet terminals with 8 games, including live-dealer games, an automatic roulette wheel, Ultimate Texas Hold'em, blackjack, virtual Sic Bo and virtual craps, on Level 2 beside Guest Services

Private table game bookings and gift cards are also available.

05Food, drink and the Sportsbook Lounge

casinosbc.com lists these venues:

  • Honey Salt: farm-to-table, using BC ingredients
  • MRKT East: Asian street food
  • D/6 Bar & Lounge: on the 6th floor of The DOUGLAS, with a covered rooftop patio, live music, DJs, board games, video games and sports on screens

The Sportsbook Lounge is a sports betting lounge and bar with a very large screen. Older Marriott pages list other outlets, but we could not confirm those are still open. Opening hours and event schedules are not published in one place we could find, so check with the venue.

06Encore Rewards

Encore Rewards is BCLC's loyalty program. It works at all BC casinos and Chances locations. At Parq, you sign up at Guest Services on Level 2, and members must be 19 or older.

According to the official page, members earn points on slots, tables, and food and drink. Members also get food discounts, hotel booking discounts and members-only contests, and free parking with qualified play.

The Parq Play Pass promotion ran from March 1 to June 8, 2026, and has ended.

07By SkyTrain

According to Parq's parking and transport page, two stations are within walking distance:

  • Stadium–Chinatown (Expo Line), about 850 m
  • Yaletown–Roundhouse (Canada Line), about 800 m

Bring a hood: neither walk is covered. Rideshare and taxis are available outside the casino.

For connections, see By SkyTrain and bus. For getting home after the trains stop, see Late night and TransLink's NightBus page.

08Parking

Self-parking is on site and open 24 hours. Parking is paid at all times and charged by licence plate. Rates apply to all vehicles, including those with disabled parking permits.

Pay stations at the elevator lobbies on each level take Visa, MasterCard, Amex, Interac, Apple Pay and Google Pay. Cash is accepted only at the Level 1 pay station.

Self-parking rates from the official page for non-event days:

TimeRate
Before 5 PM$5/hour, $20 daily max (5 AM–5 PM)
5 PM–midnight, Sun–Thu$20 flat
5 PM–midnight, Fri–Sat$25 flat
Midnight–5 AM$15 flat
24 hours$55

Valet is also offered, and the page lists its rates. Parq says rates may change with demand. On BC Place or Rogers Arena nights, expect event pricing and read Game day downtown.

09Smoking and support

BC law bans smoking and vaping in all indoor public places, including casinos. It also bans them within 6 metres of doorways.

Like every BC casino, Parq has a GameSense Info Centre on or near the gaming floor, with GameSense Advisors on site. If gambling has stopped feeling like entertainment, Gambling Support BC is free and open 24/7 at 1-888-795-6111. There is more on our Support page.
